Video is currently the hot topic and the word on the street is that if you run a business you really should have one. So if you haven't already, do you join the madding crowds or make a stand? If this is a dilemma you are facing, then read on.
1 You need a video so your customers don't have an excuse to go elsewhere.
You'll only beat yourself up when your customers turn to your rivals simply because they can't find what they want on your page. It's competitive out there and videos aren't expensive.
2. Videos can help your ratings.
I'm no SEO expert but the more platforms you can distribute your videos across the more Google will love you and the more Google loves you, the more people will find you online.
3. Video's can make your tweet, post or e-mail stand out from the crowd.
Cut 30 second and 1 minute versions of your videos and then make the most of your existing networks. As well as enhancing your online presence, embed them in e-mails and use them as part of a wider e-mail marketing campaign.
4. Videos drive content.
Here comes the science bit… 90% of internet traffic will be from Video by 2019 … or so says a Cisco Study Project. So now is the time to embrace video and use it to create and share content that your target audience cares about.
5. It's fun!
Videos can be fun to watch and great fun to make. They will help define your business and you'll probably learn something you didn't know about yourself on the way.
So yes, I do have a vested interest but rather like a cup holder umbrella, once you've created your video you'll wonder how you ever did without it.
